Electric Vehicle Charging

Electrical Vehicle Charging

HJT Electrical & Solar became an (OZEV) Office for Zero Emission Vehicles approved installer of chargepoints under the (EVHS) Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme in October 2018 and since then have installed numerous chargers and claimed the installation grant on behalf of many satisfied customers.

Unfortunately the Government funded (EVHS) grants for home chargepoints finished in March 2022.

From 1st April 2022, grants are available for landlords, if you own or rent a flat or live in a rented property.

You can get either £350 or 75% off the cost to buy and install an EV Charger, whichever amount is lower.

Small-to-medium-sized businesses can get grants to install electric vehicle charging infrastructure in their commercial car parks. The grant covers up to 75% of the cost of installing the infrastructure needed for chargepoints to operate and for future chargepoints to be installed, as well as the cost of any chargepoints installed. There is a limit of £15,000 per grant. You can get up to £350 per chargepoint socket installed, £500 per parking space enabled with supporting infrastructure

Other regulations that apply include the requirement for charge points to be smart – able to be remotely accessed and capable of receiving, interpreting, and reacting to a signal.

Terms and conditions apply to all grants / installations.

As the majority of the charging of your car will likely be at home it is essential that you choose a company like ours who have the necessary experience and knowledge to carry out a safe and efficient installation.
